CEBU CITY Philippines--University of Visayas trounced University of Cebu, 75-62, Thursday night to complete a 3-1 title series victory in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) basketball tournament at the Cebu City Coliseum.

The Green Lancers, who extended their reign to nine years, earned an automatic slot to the Sweet 16 of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League.

The Webmasters, who took Game 2 with a 71-70 overtime victory, will advance to the zonal qualifying phase from Nov. 6 to 8 in Cebu, where two Sweet 16 berths are at stake.

UC will slug it out with UAAP fifth placer Adamson, Naascu champion San Sebastian-Cavite and Cesafi fourth placer University of San Jose-Recoletos.
