Murakami stumbles with a 76

SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA?ARTEMIO MUrakami bogeyed the first three holes and ended up with a 4-over-par 76 that dropped him into a tie for 14th place after three rounds of the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open Saturday.

The burly Filipino shotmaker, who had earlier rounds of 68-69 and started the day just two shots off the pace, had nines of 40-36 for a 213 total, seven off Craig Smith of Wales who kept the lead at 206.

Antonio Lascuña (70) and Jay Bayron (71) moved up a stroke behind Murakami at 214 with Mars Pucay (72) close behind at 215.

Marvin Dumandan stood at 217 after a 72 while Rey Pagunsan finished at 220 after a 76.

Murakami also picked up a fourth bogey on the front nine on the seventh before negotiating the final nine at even par, firing three birdies against a bogey and a double bogey on the par-5 13th hole.

The towering Welshman Craig fired a 71 and clung to a one-stroke lead going into the final round at the Phokeethra Country Club.

Thai Annop Tangkamolprasert headed the chasing pack at 207 after a 70 while compatriot Sattaya Supupramai climbed up the leaderboard with a 68 to take third place at 209.

Malaysia?s Shaaban Hussin and Pariya Junhasavasdikul of Thailand took a share of fourth at 210. Asian Tour News
