Ikeda wins; RP sweeps team plums in Jakarta

CHIHIRO Ikeda scored an expected romp in the 30th Indonesia Amateur Open, posting a four-shot victory over local bets Retno Sudjasmin and Juriah while the ICTSI-RP swept the men?s and ladies team crowns in Jakarta late Friday.

Ikeda had a roller-coaster round of 76 at the Damai Indah Golf Club but cruised to victory in the wake of token opposition.

The Fil-Japanese.wound up with a 222 total while Sudjasmin and Juriah had identical 226s after a 72 and 77, respectively.

Sarah Ababa and Shannon Pak, the other Team RP members, shared fourth at 230 after 74s.

The troika also combined for 295, nipping the hosts, who had a 296 aggregate, for the team title.

Gialon, Villaber and Becierra took the men?s team crown with a 445-total, beating Kasiadi and company, who had a 454 total.
