DOTTIE ARDINA gutted out a wind-blown three-over-par 75 for 51 points Friday and took a two-point lead over first-round leader Chi- hiro Ikeda and Anya Tanpinco 36 holes through the Southern Ladies tournament at the Iloilo Golf and Country Club in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.

Three points off the pace overnight after a 52 under the Molave scoring system, Ardina canned three birdies but tripped on four bogeys and a double bogey for nines of 39-36.

Ardina pooled 103 points going into the final round of the Championship division, two up on ICTSI teammate Ikeda, who managed a 46?eight-over 80 in medal play?after a fiery 55 Thursday, and Tanpinco, who shot a 49.

Ikeda matched Ardina?s three birdies but the Southeast Asian Games gold medalist struggled on the unpredictable putting surface with two three-putts and one four-putt.

Tanpinco?s birdie-less 49 was later matched by Daniella Uy who lay fourth overall.

Ardina?s feat powered ICTSI II, also made up of Tanpinco, Uy and Sheryl Villavicencio (49), to the team crown with a 231 total, a whopping 28-point clear of ICTSI I and Iloilo III.

Villacencio stood fifth with 95 points followed by Andie Unson (47-92), Sun Choi (42-90), Lucy Landicho (46-90), Lovelyn Guioguio (43-89) and ICTSI?s Sarah Ababa (46-87).

Meanwhile, Mabek Kawsek of Tagaytay Highlands scored a hole-in-one on No. 16 in Wednesday?s Lam-Am tournament.

Villamor?s Sol Antonio topped the seniors division with a two-day total of 70 after 31 Stableford points. She beat Mencie Millonado of Aguinaldo (29-66) and Leni Cabili (33-64).
