PHILADELPHIA -- The Utah Jazz celebrated the return of Deron Williams with a 93-80 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in a National Basketball Association contest on Tuesday.
Williams missed the first six games of the season after spraining his ankle in a pre-season contest.
On Tuesday he scored seven points with nine assists as the Jazz won for the sixth time in seven games to start the new season.
The 76ers scored only 37 points in the first half and trailed by 12.
They stormed back with 30 points in the third period to take a 67-63 lead into the final quarter.
However, as Philadelphia went cold, Ronnie Brewer got hot. The Sixers scored only 13 points over the final 12 minutes while Brewer overcame a 0-for-9 start in the first half and scored all 16 of his points in the fourth.
