SAN ANTONIO--Tony Parker seized an offensive rebound, turned and unleashed an arching shot as time expired that gave the San Antonio Spurs a 108-106 National Basketball Association victory over Philadelphia on Saturday.
Parker salvaged a victory that San Antonio had appeared to have in the bag earlier in the game.
The Spurs led 40-19 after shooting a blistering 75 percent in the first quarter and led 66-50 at halftime.
But Andre Miller led a Sixers resurgence, scoring 16 of his 28 points in the third quarter, when Philadelphia outscored the Spurs 31-18 and briefly took a one-point lead.
In the fourth, with the game tied 106-106, Miller tried to post up Roger Mason, then directed a pass to the top of the key that Parker grabbed.
The Spurs chose not to call a timeout with less than 15 seconds to play.
Parker drove, then swung the pass in the corner to Manu Ginobili, who missed the three-pointer.
But Parker found the loose ball with the time winding down, turned and fired the game-winner.
Parker finished with 15 points and 10 assists, while Tim Duncan had 26 and 12 rebounds and Ginobili scored 21 points for the Spurs.
Andre Iguodala scored 25 points and Thaddeus Young chipped in 19 for the Sixers, but it wasn't enough as they lost for the sixth time in seven games.
