MIAMI -- Former National Basketball Association player Antoine Walker was arrested and charged with suspicion of drunk driving early Monday, the Miami Herald reported.

Walker's black Mercedes was pulled over around 5 a.m. after a police officer noticed he was driving with his headlights off, the Herald said.

The arresting officer noticed the odor of alcohol and a sleepy look on Walker's face, the newspaper reported.

Walker, a three-time All-Star, helped the Miami Heat win the NBA title in 2006.

He was traded to Minnesota in 2007 and averaged 8.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 46 games before having his contract bought out in December.

The 32-year-old has career averages of 17.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in 893 games in parts of 12 seasons with five different teams.
