Top motorcycle racers get down to serious business when the third leg of the OZR Grand Prix 2009 gets underway today at the Portofino beach resort in Lapu-Lapu City.

Leading the list of contenders in today?s race is Robbie Enriquez of team MAC-BMR, who won two titles in the second leg held at the Parkmall grounds in Mandaue City last May.

Enriquez won the expert open and novice open titles of the race, supported by Yamaha and Norkis and organized by OZ Racing Corp. of Zandro Fajardo.

Other notable racers include Gary Caneda Jr., who won the first leg expert and novice crowns, and Lyndon Requilme, who bagged the automatic title in the first leg.

Aside from the regular categories, today?s race will also see the debut of the First Timers division, which will be for participants who have had no experience in motorcycle racing.

The other categories are the 110-125 cc beginner?s susperstock, automatic mix, novice open and the expert open.

At stake in each leg are points for the overall championship in each category.
