The 40-year-old White announced on his Twitter account he?ll be coming over to watch Pacquiao defend his World Boxing Organization welterweight crown against Clottey at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Not only that, White boldly picked Pacquiao to win by knockout in the eighth round, though the Ghanaian has never been stopped in his career.
White seems to genuinely like Pacquiao?s fighting style.
If ever, White will be among a horde of celebrities, politicians, sports officials, football team owners, actors and actresses expected to troop to Arlington City for the fight dubbed simply as ?The Event.?
Earlier Tuesday, football Hall-of-Famer Michael Jerome Irvin, tagged along with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to watch Pacquiao?s public workout at the Gaylord Texan Hotel here.
Action film superstars Steven Segal, Jean Claude Van Damme, noted actors Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington, Robert Duvall, Lou Diamond Philips, NBA star Ron Artest and baseball?s Derek Jeter are among those who have visited Pacquiao during his training camps at the famed Wild Card Gym of four-time Trainer of the year Freddie Roach.
As to politicians, former US president Bill Clinton is a big Pacquiao fan. Another former US president, George Bush Jr., is reportedly keen on watching the Pacquiao-Clottey bout.
