MANILA, Philippines ? (UPDATE) It was a day of spoilsports as National Univeristy and University of the East, teams out of contention, pulled off upsets over De La Salle University and Adamson, both are gunning for twice-to-beat incentive.

The Warriors took down the Archers, 80-74, while the Bulldogs stunned the Falcons, 62-59, Saturday in the 73rd UAAP Men's Basketball Tournament at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Jewel Ponferrada, who finished with 11 points, drained a cold-blooded left elbow triple with 2.9 ticks left in the game to propel the Bulldogs to their sixth win in 13 games.

Emmanuel Mbe added 11 markers, with 10 more Bulldogs contributing to the win.

Paul Lee, meanwhile, registered 19 points for the Warriors while Raffy Reyes and James Martinez added 17 and 13 markers, respectively.

Despite the losses however of La Salle and Adamson, neither FEU nor Ateneo are assured of a twice-to-beat incentive. The Eagles and the Tamaraws will try to secure the one and two spots tomorrow (Sunday) which would push Adamson and La Salle to dispute third and fourth spot.
