SAN FRANCISCO, California?The long-awaited fight titled ?The Return of the Hurricane? is all set on Friday, February 25, at the Craneway Pavilion as Ana Julaton defends her World Boxing Organization (WBO) belt against contender, Francesca ?The Chosen One? Alcanter.
Besides professional boxing, ?The Return of the Hurricane? will also feature amateur kickboxing and performances by AJ Rafael Band, Sway Penala and 454 Entertainment with special guests that include commentator-analyst and two-time former champion Glenn ?The Filipino Bomber? Donaire.
To drum up excitement to the big fight, special events will take place before Friday.
First on Wednesday, February 23, there will be a press conference at Mink Lounge at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, February 24, the official weighing-in event happens at 6:00 p.m. in the same venue. Mink Lounge is located at 6192 Mission Street, Daly City, California 94014.
On Friday, doors will be opened to the public starting 6:00 pm. The scheduled undercard fighters are Alhadi vs. Marc Toledo, Gaston Bolanos vs. Ike Spears, Phil Devera vs. Marc Toledo, Bruno Escalante vs. Floyd Smith. All fights will start at 7:30 p.m.
Before the main bout, there will be a special performance by Sway Penala.
The fight between ?The Hurricane? and ?The Chosen One? is expected to start at around 8:30 p.m.
Afterwards, there will be a performance by the AJ Rafael Band and 454 Entertainment. A post-fight press conference will conclude the evening. Craneway Pavilion is located at 1414 Harbour Way South, Richmond, California 94804.
The program will be hosted by St. John and Freska of 99.7 NOW, media partner of ?The Return of the Hurricane?.
The fight will be broadcast live on TV5 in the Philippines and on Myx TV in the United States.
