WTA plans World Cup teams event

The Woman Tennis Association is considering setting up its own World Cup team event, separate from the existing Fed Cup organized by the International Tennis Federation.

Judge sentences Pistorius to five years in jail

South African Paralympian star sprinter Oscar Pistorius was sentenced to five years in prison Tuesday for the killing of his girlfriend last year, as his sensational trial reached a climax.

It looks like a Filipino youngster would wear the blue and gold of the Bruins. Kobe Paras, the high-flying son of Filipino basketball legend Benjie Paras, has committed to join the University of California Los Angeles Bruins for his collegiate playing career.
