Antillon stops Bobby in first rd. in Vegas

UNDEFEATED Mexican Urbano Antillon showed who's boss after he stopped Bobby Pacquiao in a single round at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas yesterday.

?In less than a round, Antillon methodically stalked BobPac and finally got him with a double left hook to the liver that dropped BobPac for good,? reported Philboxing.com's Ed de la Vega from Las Vegas.

BobPac was told to stay away from Antillon for a few rounds, but neglected the wise counsel and opted to exchange blows with the dangerous Mexican.

?At the beginning he was not doing too badly. He was dishing out as much as he was receiving. That apparently made him feel that he can win the fight,? reported De la Vega.

A big blow to the liver area sent BobPac crumbling in pain, disappointing the many Filipinos who came to support him.

On the undercard, Filipino Ernel Fontanilla figured in a draw with Manuel Zarabia after four rounds.

Fontanilla, a protege of Manny Pacquiao trainer Buboy Fernandez, exchanged leathers with Zarabia right at the get-go and the fight was give-and-take all throughout.

Fontanilla was originally slated to see action in the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez card, but for some strange reasons, he was demoted to the smaller show at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Correspondent Salven Lagumbay
