THREE ALA boys, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista, AJ “Bazooka” Banal and Michael Domingo left yesterday morning via Philippine Airlines for Manila accompanied by their trainers, Edito and Edmund Villamor.

Fit and ready, the three ALA fighters are without doubt prepared to do battle against foreign invaders led by Mexican warrior Genaro Camargo who will again test the mettle of the comebacking Bautista with the latter aiming to prove that he has fully recovered from his shocking loss to WBO champion Daniel Ponce de Leon.

On the other hand, WBC No. 2 ranked contender Caril Herrera is out to stretch his unblemished record when he collides with erstwhile undefeated and fast-rising AJ Banal who intends to use Herrera as his stepping stone in claiming the No.1 post in their IBF Super-fly eliminator fight.

All the protagonists of the “Invasion: The Philippines vs. The World” card led by WBO Bantamweight champion Gerry Peñalosa and top challenger Ratanachi Sor Vorapin will convene today for the press conference to be held at the Mandarin Suites 4/F Gateway Mall.

Bautista and Banal will also be in attendance together with the rest of the fighters of the star-studded card.

Aside from their boxing activities, Bautista and Banal will also showcase their hidden showbiz talent when they guest at Umagang Kay Ganda and Wowowee, two of ABS/CBN’s top rated TV shows.

The much–awaited boxing extravaganza is jointly promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and ALA Promotions in association with ABS/CBN Sports. /Correspondent Salven Lagumbay
