Much will be at stake in the Shakey?s Girls Volleyball League as a champion and representative will be crowned after the semifinals and the finals today at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) gym along Salinas Drive in Lahug.

Current leaders and two-time Cebu leg champions, the USPF Spiking Baby Panthers, will be seeing action in the final games of the elimination round as they will face the belles of the Don Gerardo National High School in the morning games.

USPF, champions of the juniors division volleyball competition in the Cesafi for seven straight years, are lording it over the field with an undefeated 5-0 (win-loss) mark.

They are gunning to make it back to the National Finals in Bacolod next month, where they have been the bridesmaid for two straight years.

Meanwhile, USPF?s closest pursuers, the Pajo National High School, will also be seeing action as they will go up against the Abellana National School in the other game of the morning schedule.

The afternoon will see the crossover semifinals where the top-seed will face the fourth seed while the second seed clashes with the third seed.

Winners will advance to the finals afterwards, where the victor will bag the crown as well as the chance to represent Cebu in the National Finals.
