MANILA, Philippines—De La Salle University destroyed Far Eastern University's cloak of invincibility in the women's quarterfinals of the Nike Summer League with a 77-75 upset in overtime Monday at the FEU gym.

Angeli Jo Glorani nailed a triple with 35 seconds left that proved to be the game-winning basket as the Lady Archers forged a semifinal showdown with University of Santo Tomas.

The UST Tigresses routed the College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers, 61-48, with Marichu Bacaro and Remia Buenacosa combining for 31 points.

Glorani finished with 28 points, including six of La Salle's 10 points in the extra session, while Kristine Alon-Alon, who drained a triple to tie the game at 73, wound up with 14.

The FEU Lady Tamaraws, unbeaten in the elimination round, came back from 51-58 to force overtime at 67-all.

FEU was paced by Bernadette Mercado, who flirted with a triple-double by tallying 19 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists, and Soccoro Borja who added 15.

Philippine College of Criminology, despite scoring only two points in the second quarter, found enough firepower in the final half to oust University of the Philippines, 55-35.

PCCr set up a duel with Adamson University, winner by default over Ateneo de Manila University.

The juniors quarterfinals are scheduled Tuesday while the knockout stage of the men's tournament gets going Thursday at the Rizal Coliseum with UAAP champ La Salle, winner of last year's edition, battling Feati University at 2 p.m.

San Beda College and University of the East clash at 4 p.m. in one of two marquee quarterfinal duels pitting NCAA and UAAP teams.

Ateneo, fresh from training in the United States, and Mapua Institute of Technology collide in the other UAAP-NCAA duel on Sunday.
