SEVEN-TIME Cesafi men’s champions University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers and the reigning National Students Basketball Championships titlists Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras take their long-standing rivalry to Lutopan when they duke it out in a preview of the upcoming season at the newly-refurbished Carmen Copper Recreation Center at the Carmen Copper Corporation.

Both teams are fresh off their respective stints in the Asian University Basketball Championships and are gearing up for the 8th season of the Cesafi basketball tournament, which opens on Aug. 2.

Seeing action in the preliminary game is the Carmen Copper CSD team that will play against the Toledo All Stars.

The exhibition game is part of a series of activities highlighting the fiesta of Barangay DAS in honor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Spearheading the activities is the Parish Pastoral Council led by its President Tessie Cal. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
