RANEE ?The KO Kid? Ganoy will finally be back to make his first homecoming after 4 long years in Australia. He will be arriving on Sunday, July 13th with his manager, Hermie Bohol at 8:00 in the evening as he promises to make waves in the boxing world when he battles a tough Thai opponent, Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat on July 19th at the Cebu Coliseum.
Ganoy is best remembered for his demolition of Robbie Peden via an 8th round KO sending the latter into retirement while snatching his IBF Pan Pacific Lightweight title last March 09, 2007. Peden had earlier gone the distance in a world title fight against Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera.
Ganoy is a knockout sensation who has developed a huge following in Australia. And he is bent on gaining the admiration of his fellow Filipinos. The ten-round bout between Ganoy and the Thai promises to be an exciting war of fists.
Ganoy has so far recorded 20 knockouts in 24 wins while Sakaorat has 8 knockouts in 13 wins. Once Ganoy disposes the Thai, he will be lined-up for a possible big fight in the U S.
