Joel De la Cruz faces an acid test on Sunday when he clashes with the veteran hard-hitting Terdsak Jandaeng of Thailand in the Daytime Boxing 2: Thailand Invasion at the Mandaue Sports Complex in Mandaue City.

Jandaeng has fought the likes of Steven Luevano, the WBO Featherweight Champion last March 31 but lost via unanimous decision.

On August 5, 2006, he fought Juan Manuel Marquez for the Interim WBO Featherweight championship and lost on TKO in the 7th round.

He also fought Joan Guzman for the WBO Featherweight Eliminator and lost on unanimous decision on August 26, 2005.

De la Cruz carries a record of 11 wins, five losses and one draw and his biggest achievement so far is when he scored a draw with Somsak Sithchatchawal last September 14 at the Cebu Coliseum for the first Daytime Boxing in Cebu.

The event is presented by SGG Sports Promotions in association with INTV–CCTN Cable Networks, the Mandaue City Government, PAGCOR–Cebu, Omega Boxing Gym of IPI and the Kokiet Group of Thailand.

Tickets are priced at P500 for sponsor, P250 for ringside and P100 for general admission. /PR
