Game today
(Singapore Indoor Stadium)
5:00 p.m.- San Miguel vs. Talk 'N Text

The Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants struck hard in the endgame to nail a, 96-88 win over the slumping Air21 Express last night in their out-of-town encounter of the 34th PBA Philippine Cup in Tacloban City.

James Yap led the Giants' searing finishing kick to propel Purefoods to its seventh win in 13 games. Yap finished with 26 points that went along with his 10 rebounds.

Air21 was up by four points after the third, 67-63, but lost stem in the final canto that enabled the Giants to snatch the win.

Gary David finished with 22 points to lead the Express, who succumbed to their seventh loss against six wins.

Meanwhile, the PBA goes overseas today featuring the San Miguel Beermen against the Talk N Text Tropang Texters at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Today's game will mark the league's 5th overseas game.

San Miguel Beer will be playing its first official overseas game, while Talk 'N Text is on its third out-of-the country game.

San Miguel looks to keep within striking distance with the league-leaders Alaska Aces as it occupies solo second place with eight wins and five losses.

The Aces are at number one spot with nine wins and four defeats.

The Beermen are also looking to duplicate their 84-77 win over the same Talk N Text squad last Oct. 17.

Interestingly, it was former Talk N Text player Jay Washington who powered the Beermen to that win where the Fil-Am finished with a team-high 21 points.

The Tropang Texters, on the other hand, look for a good follow up to their recent 104-82 win over the Sta. Lucia Realtors.

Talk N Text parades an even 6-6 card.
