MANILA, Philippines - Jose Rizal U and College of St. Benilde shoot for a piece of the lead when they tackle separate foes in the 85th NCAA basketball tournament at The FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Pushed to the limit before prevailing over Letran Saturday, the Heavy Bombers hope to flash a better form against the Perpetual Help Altas at 2 p.m.

The Blazers try to build on their convincing win over Angeles U Foundation when they face the Mapua Cardinals at 4 p.m.

Both the Altas and Cardinals are coming off double-digit losses with Mapua, which is seeking a fifth straight Final Four appearance, absorbing the biggest loss so far—a 52-85 crushing at the hands of San Beda.

Victories by JRU and St. Benilde will pave the way for a four-team tie on top with idle San Sebastian and Arellano.

The Stags and the Chiefs hammered out a pair of upsets against defending champion San Beda and Letran, respectively, to jack up their records to 2-0 last Wednesday.

The Heavy Bombers are favored to cruise past the Altas, who took a 64-76 loss to San Sebastian on opening-day last Saturday.
