Perpetual notches first NCAA win

MANILA, Philippines – Rookie guard Chris Elopre exploded for 27 points as Perpetual Help scored its first win in four games clobbering Angeles University Foundation, 94-84, in NCAA mens basketball Season 85.

In the earlier seniors’ game at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Jose Rizal University won against Arellano, 88-82, to score its fourth win and gain solo lead in the tournament.

John Wilson fired 26 points to power the Heavy Bombers, who are seeking their first NCAA title since 1972.
