MANILA, Philippines - It's bound to be another sell-out crowd at the Araneta Coliseum for this season's UAAP cheerdance competition.

Tickets for the eagerly anticipated cheerdance finals will be distributed to eight UAAP member schools on Friday, according to tournament director Mark Molina.

?The tickets would be distributed equally to the eight schools but it?s up to them when they would sell it,? Molina said.

Eighty percent of the tickets are given to the schools while 20% are sold by Ticketnet, the ticketing network of the Araneta Coliseum, said Molina.

?It?s the biggest attraction in the UAAP, which attracts even more audience than the basketball games. We?re expecting a sell-out,? added Molina.

Last year's cheerdance finals, won by the University of the Philippines Pep Squad, set a record-breaking 23,443 paying audience.

Lani Marba, administrative assistant of Ticketnet, told INQUIRER.net that they would start selling the tickets on Monday, September 7.

?Wala pang advice sa amin kung ilan ?yung ilalabas na tickets (We haven't been advised yet how many tickets will be sold) but we?ll release a notice infront of Araneta Coliseum on Sunday,? Marba said via telephone.

Molina said they have already determined the sequence of the performances through a drawlots.

?The positioning/seating arrangement of the audience is dependent on the order of the school?s performances,? he noted.

Adamson University would break the ice followed by the National University, University of Sto. Tomas, De La Salle University, UP, Ateneo de Manila University, University of the East, and host school Far Eastern University.

The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe has the most number of championship titles with eight, followed by the UP Pep Squad with five.

Back-to-back champion UP is eyeing a grand slam this season .

?We always want to show something different,? said UP Pep Squad coach Lalaine Pereña, confident about winning the title one more time.
