IT?S NOT JUST THE CROWN that's at stake when the University of Visayas Green Lancers and the University of Cebu Webmasters fight for basketball supremacy in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc.

An outright berth in the Philippine Collegiate Championship ?Sweet 16? national finals will also be up for grabs when the eight-time champion Lancers and the Webmasters start their best-of-five Finals duel Thursday.

Both the Lancers and the Webmasters advanced to the championship round after sweeping their semifinal foes last week.

The Lancers scuttled the University of San Jose Recoletos Jaguars in their best-of-three series, 88-76, and 82-67.

The Webmasters toppled the University of San Carlos Warriors in the opener with a 98-91 decision, then closed out their own Final Four encounter at 87-78.
