MANILA, Philippines--Two most valuable players combined brilliantly as the NCAA Senior All-Stars, flashing fluid offense and tenacious defense, humbled their UAAP counterparts, 76-60, Saturday night in the Bantay Bata 163 UAAP-NCAA All Star game at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

NCAA Finals MVP Jimbo Aquino and Season MVP John Wilson joined forces in the second half when the NCAA All-Stars ripped the game wide open.

Aquino finished with 17 points, including a 5-of-8 clip from beyond the arc, while Wilson had 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.

“We wanted to enjoy the game and at the same time, play with intensity,” said rookie NCAA coach Ato Agustin, who steered San Sebastian to the title last month. “I told the team we should earn the respect of the UAAP.”

The NCAA Junior All-Stars also prevailed, 85-84, over their UAAP counterparts.
