MANILA, Philippines--COLLEGE OF ST. BENILDE GUNS FOR A ?six-peat? in the men?s division while San Sebastian College hopes to dominate the women?s side as the NCAA beach volleyball tournament starts today at the La Salle Green Hills makeshift courts.

The Blazers will rely on the battle-tested tandem of Von Mabazza and Eddie Madcon in their bid to stretch their hold on men?s play.

St. Benilde has won all men?s beach volleyball titles since the event was included in the NCAA calendar during the 78th season.

In the distaff side, reigning indoor volleyball Most Valuable Player (MVP) Lou Ann Latigay and Margarita Pepito will parade the bid of the Lady Stags.

With the absence of Season 82 women?s champion Philippine Christian University (PCU), San Sebastian is expected to dominate the opposition.

Letran is this season?s beach volleyball host.

Second semester events in the 83rd NCAA Season reeled off yesterday with the opening of lawn tennis, hosted by San Sebastian, at the Tennis Center of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
