MANILA, Philippines -- Interested bidders for the exclusive television rights for the Philippine Basketball Association’s games will be furnished with the guidelines before the end of the month, according to the PBA Commissioner’s Office.
“We’re trying to iron out certain details and elements for the guidelines,” said commissioner Sonny Barrios Tuesday after a meeting with the board.
Though he never really delved on the specifics, Barrios said the bidding will not be exclusive to the big networks. The league’s current contract with TV station ABC 5 expires at the end of the season, or sometime in July. Musong R. Castillo
