MANILA, Philippines? The roster is full and anyone from among the 200 players can end up winning a brand new car, a prime lot or P100,000 in cash when the inaugural Summit Point Invitational golf tournament tees off this Saturday in Lipa City, south of Manila.

There will be two shotgun batches, the first at 6 a.m. and the second at 12 noon each featuring 100 players who will tackle the superb Summit Point course, also known as the World 18 layout of Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Each participant will have three cracks at a Toyota Vios and a shot at 120-square-meter lot in a Santa Lucia Realty subdivision as well as a cool P100,000 prize at the four par-3s.

While the odds for a hole-in-one are a million to one, one of the 200 players will be driving home another Toyota Vios that will be raffled off at the end of the 18-hole competition.

The ideal weather prevailing in Lipa City should be reason for the members and guests to enjoy the inaugural tournament.

Leading the entries are Robbie Leviste and engineer Wini Gob of joint-venture partners Summit Point Realty and Sta. Lucia Realty which are also co-presenting the event.

Up for grabs are low net and low gross titles and the top awards in four different handicap classifications.

Organizers said the new rule on drivers require players to use only conforming clubs.
