MANILA, Philippines--Defending champion La Salle and runner-up San Beda take on separate foes at the start of the 2nd Filoil Flying V Pre-Season Invitational Cup Sunday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

After the 1 p.m. opening ceremony, the NCAA champion San Beda Red Lions debut against Collegiate Champions League titlist Ateneo Blue Eagles at 2 p.m.

The clash between UAAP titleholder Archers and the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers get going at 4 p.m.

A cheerdance contest and brass-band performance highlight the kickoff rites.

The rest of the games in the two-month long event will be held at The Arena in San Juan.

Other teams seeing action are UAAP runner-up University of the East, Santo Tomas, Adamson, Far Eastern, National U, Mapua, Letran, St. Benilde, Perpetual Help and San Sebastian.

The games will be aired over BTV on Destiny Cable Channel 34 and IBC 13.
