JAKARTA -- Lam Chih Bing continued his domination of the Mercedes-Benz Masters Indonesia Friday after his third-round four-under-par 68 gave him a five stroke lead over Filipino Angelo Que.
Singaporean Lam, who fired 65s on the first two days, is now 18 under par for the 50,000 dollar tournament and is well on course for victory.
Que carded a 65 at the Emeralda Golf and Country Club, near Jakarta, while Malaysian Danny Chia is four strokes further back.
"I didn't play quite as well today but made some nice putts. I can't complain although naturally I would like to be even more in front," said Lam.
However Lam is not getting carried away and said: "I have quite a healthy lead but we all know a lot can still happen. I feel confident, though, and relaxed."
Que, who won the Philippine Open last month, appears to be the only man capable of catching Lam after a brilliant round that boasted eight birdies.
"It's good to be playing well again. After winning in the Philippines I struggled a bit in the following events in China but this week I am back on track," said Que.
Chia struggled to get going due to a sore back and carded a 73.
Indonesian veterans Maan Nasim and Ilyasak are the leading local players after both firing rounds of 73 to put them 17 shots behind Lam.
