UAAP: Archers take aim at soaring Falcons

MANILA, Philippines?A superior record hardly means anything for De La Salle University after Adamson University pulled off an unexpected victory in the 71st UAAP men?s basketball competition.

?They?re slowly picking up the pieces,? said Archers coach Franz Pumaren of the Falcons, who stunned last season?s runner-up University of the East with a 66-64 decision last Sunday.

?I think they showed the real Adamson, what they?re capable of doing. It?s pretty scary.?

For Pumaren, his defending champion Archers must stick to what they do best when they take on the upset-minded Falcons at 2 p.m. Thursday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
