MANILA, Philippines—Rebounding from its second loss of the season may prove to be a challenge for Letran College as the Knights go up against another streaking squad in the NCAA.

The Knights shoot for a share of the lead as the San Sebastian College Stags gun for a sixth straight victory in their 4 p.m. clash on Wednesday in the 84th men’s basketball competition at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

Mapua Institute of Technology, hoping to make headway after tearing down defending champion San Beda College, aims to revive its Final Four bid when the Cardinals battle the College of St. Benilde Blazers at 2 p.m.

With a tight race to the semifinals shaping up, the Knights hope to pull off a win just five days after bowing to Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers, 76-72.

“We’re back to the drawing boards,” said Letran coach Louie Alas. “We’re back to our original goal of just making it to the Final Four. The standings are very close, the teams are just one game ahead of the other.”

Letran ace RJ Jazul hopes to recover his shooting touch after missing all but one of 15 attempts from the field against JRU.

A Knights victory will push them on top with the Bombers at 8-2. Jasmine W. Payo
