HOLY TRINITY COLLEGE RULED THE GenSan City College League to book its place in the Region 8 championship of the SMART-PLDT Collegiate Champions League recently.

The Wildcats swept their eight games to snare the crown ahead of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College, which toted a 7-1 card.

The Blue Fins also claimed a place in the regionals where they will battle the winners of the ongoing Davao City collegiate qualifier.

Meanwhile, Immaculate Concepcion School, Ateneo de Zamboanga, Kabasalan Institute of Technology, Universidad de Zamboanga-Ipil, Saint Vincent College Valiants and Dipolog Medical College have the inside track on the six spots at stake in Region 9.

Tournament format calls for the winners of Region 8 and Region 9 to advance to the Zone 4 championships, where they will play the Region 7 champion, the UAAP third placer and the Cesafi third-placer and a wild-card entry.

The top two teams from each zone will claim berths in the FilOil Flying V Sweet 16 Final in Manila. Cedelf P. Tupas
