MANILA, Philippines—Far Eastern University claimed the ast quarterfinal berth with a hard-earned 84-75 victory over Jose Rizal University in the “Sweet 16” of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
The Tamaraws will be up for another tough assignment in the last eight against the Letran Knights, who overpowered the San Sebastian Cavite Baycats, 85-70, in the first game.
The quarterfinals kick off today with UAAP champion Ateneo going up against Mapua at 2 p.m. at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City
The Pumaren brothers face off in the other match with Franz’s La Salle and Dindo’s University of the East battling for a semifinal berth at 4 p.m.
