MANILA, Philippines—Xtreme Magic Sing-RP Youth rose from a 25-point hole in the second half to stun defending champion Ever Bilena, 72-67, at the end of the elimination of the Women’s Philippine Basketball League Saturday at the Lyceum gym in Manila.

Ana Almazan and Raiza Palmera provided the scoring punch in the final two periods to key the Nationals’ turnaround from a 33-58 deficit to a 62-60 advantage.

Almazan pumped in 28 points, 10 coming in the final canto, and grabbed 17 rebounds. Palmera added 14 markers for the nationals, who wound up tied with erstwhile unbeaten Ever Bilena in Group B at 3-1.

Smart-UP later forged a three-way deadlock at 3-1 after Sai Sadorra unloaded 20 points to lead the Lady Maroons past Mail and More, 67-51.

Earlier, Lynne Reyes led a balanced charge to power Oracle Residences-Far Eastern University past Sunkist-La Salle in a 58-55 decision.
