MANILA, Philippines—Marathon, badminton and volleyball clinics as well as tournaments were held recently to cap activities in the Visayas leg of Women in Sports Nationwide in Tagbilaran City.

Commissioner Akiko Thomson of the Philippine Sports C Commission and city assistant schools division superintendent Norma Varquez organized the events to highlight the Filipinas’ prowess in sports.

Veteran volleyball coach Roger Banzuela and badminton mentor Rafael Dionisio conducted the clinics on Nov. 24 to 27.
