Estanislao, Alcala lead Prima winners

MANILA, Philippines?Ronel Estanislao and Malvinne Alcala underscored their tags as the country?s next badminton stars by leading the roster of champions in the Prima Pasta Invitational Badminton Open at the Powersmash Badminton Center recently.

Estanislao bagged three titles, joining hands with Paul Vivas to win the men?s doubles open and level A titles.

Alcala partnered with Estanislao to win the mixed doubles title at the expense of the tandem of Mia Villarin and former RP No. 1 Ian Piencenaves.

Alcala wrested her second title of the two-day event after partnering with Gelita Gustilo to beat Fatima Cruz and Raquel Guerrero for the women?s level A crown.

Also ruling their respective divisions in the men?s category were Salvador Kapunan and RJ Ormilla (level B), DJ Agustin and Matthew Lim (level C), Levi Panganiban and Paulo Pongco (level D), Nap Abalos and Christopher Moster (level E) and Jonathan Bulaon and Jojo Meilat (level F).
