Buncio collects four Superbikes trophies

MANILA, Philippines - Reigning superbikes champion Maico Buncio of Elf-Moto YRS Team bagged four trophies recently in the 2009 BRC Superbikes Series and the 2009 Magnolia Health Tea Philippine Underbone King Championships at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

The 20-year-old Buncio not only pulled a sweep in the Superbikes Series but also posted a new track record time of 1:38.587 seconds.

With the win, Buncio firmed up his bid for a third straight title as he now has 97 points, six better than archrival Glenn Aguilar’s 91 points.

Aside from his two Superbikes trophies, Buncio likewise captured the 130cc Open over Danny Daquigan and the 150cc. Open over Jaime Barcial and third placer Johnlery Enriquez.
