Can the Czar of Bohol tame the Black Tiger of Thailand?

Cebu Daily News

THE ALA Gym's Czar Amonsot will be facing a second straight African slugger on Oct. 16 when he faces Jesus Muzaka, also known as the Black Tiger of Thailand, in a ten round non-title bout at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Amonsot has fought twice this year since being sidelined for a year and a half after his brutal battle against Australian Michael Katsidis. In January, he scored an easy fifth round KO win over Zoel Fidal of Indonesia but four months later, Czar struggled to win against the Kenyan ?Virus? Morris Chule.

Amonsot was suffering from an abscessed tooth prior to the Chule bout. But after enduring a trip to the dentist and weeks of training, he feels he is ready for his next big test. Amonsot, together with Marjun Yap, Jason Pagara and Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista were at the SM Cebu City Entertainment Center for a public work out Friday evening to promote their upcoming fights.

The 24 year-old Boholano southpaw has a fight record of 20 wins (KO 11) 3 losses and 1 draw.

The 29 year-old Muzaka hails from Congo, a war torn country in the heart of Africa with a record of 16 wins (8 KO's) and 7 losses. Correspondent Rene Bonsubre
