The University of Cebu (UC), the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) and the University of San Carlos (USC) will try to make it to the Sweet 16 round of Philippine Collegiate Champions League when they compete in the Interzonal Qualifying Games in Cebu and Bacolod.

The Webmasters, runners-up of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) basketball tournament, will have to contend with Cesafi fourth placer USJ-R Jaguars, University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) fifth placer Adamson University Falcons and NAASCU champions San Sebastian College-Cavite Baycats.

They will start their qualifying competition on Nov. 5 at the Cebu Coliseum.

The top two teams of the tournament will be sent to Manila to compete in the Sweet 16 starting on Nov. 23 at the Ynares Center in Pasig City.

The USC Warriors, third placers of the Cesafi, will troop to Bacolod City for another Interzonal tournament for the right to advance to the final 16 stage.

They will be facing NCAA fifth placer Arellano University Chiefs, West Negros College Mustangs and Holy Trinity College Wildcats.

Cesafi champions University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers have already booked their ticket to the PCCL Sweet 16 by virtue of their title win, joining the ranks of UAAP champions Ateneo de Manila University and NCAA champions San Sebastian College-Recoletos Stags.
