THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos Warriors will try to keep the Cebuano pride alive when they tangle with the reigning NCAA champions San Sebastian College-Recoletos Stags in the Sweet 16 stage of the Philippins Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) today at the Superdome in Ormoc City.

After the disappointing exit of the two top teams of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) last Saturday, the Warriors have been left as the lone representative of the south.

The nine-time champions University of the Visayas Green Lancers were upset by the Mapua Cardinals, 73-76, while this year's runners-up, the University of Cebu Webmasters, were crushed by the University of the East Red Warriors, 86-105./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
