RunTana of Boracay topped the recent Ultimo Abril Dos ultimate disc tournament held in Cebu City.
The event, held April 18 to 19, drew 13 teams from Metro Manila, Dipolog, Dumaguete, Iligan, Cebu and Boracay.
Preliminary rounds were held at the Cebu City Sports Complex during the first day and later on transferred to the Aboitiz Land football field for semifinal and final games.
RunTana defeated Cuernos of Dumaguete in the race to 15 final game.
Run Tana blazed into a huge lead with a score of 8-3 after the first half but Cuernos stepped up eventually tying it at 12 and Cuernos finally gaining the lead at 13-12.
Play was stopped at some point as darkness settled and resumed as the field lights were turned on. Run Tana scored immediately to tie the game and never looked back, winning the game 15-13.
Ultimate Disc is a non-contact field sport played with a round plastic disc more commonly known as a "Frisbee" and originated in United States in 1968.
