Cavs star James becomes youngest to score 15,000 points

CHICAGO ? Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James became the youngest to reach 15,000 points, breaking Kobe Bryant's mark in a National Basketball Association game on Friday.

Bryant scored the historic basket in the first quarter of Cleveland's game against the Chicago Bulls.

Three points off the milestone when the game started, James scored his first points on a dunk and then hit two free throws about 40 seconds later, giving him 15,001 career points

James reached the mark at 25 years, 79 days while Bryant was 27 years, 136 days when he did it for the Los Angeles Lakers.
