Indoor archery tilt fires off in Baguio

TOP ARCHERS, INCLUDING NATIONAL team members, are seeing action in the National Indoor Target Archery competition this weekend at the University of Cordillera Gym in Baguio City as part of their buildup for international tournaments.

Among the competitors are Gandiva Star archers, led by Elijah Bismark, 13, who is priming up for the World Championship in Ulsan, South Korea, in September.

Also vying are Gandiva players Kristina Bismark and Queenie Cabuguason, plus Kit Cojuangco, Rosendo Sombrio and Timo Bismark who are preparing for the Archery World Cup in Shanghai next month.

Events to be disputed in the Baguio competition are recurve yeoman for boys and girls (10 meters), recurve bowman for boys and girls (15 meters), recurve cadet for juniors, seniors, boys and girls (18 meters), compound senior for men and women (18 meters), recurve masters (18 meters), and recurve competition for disabled athletes (18 meters).

Elijah Bismark will compete in both the juniors and seniors recurve event.
