THE COUNTRY’S TOP RACERS try to outmaneuver each other in the final leg of the 2009 Yokohama Philippine Grand Touring (GT) Championships on Oct. 18 at the newly built Clark International Speedway.

Paul Henderson Perez of Alps Racing is eyeing a second straight Driver of the Year award as he guns for a sweep of the races.
Perez wrested the overall lead following the no-show of John Asuncion in the last leg where he finished second in the Sprint race and captured the title in the 16-lap Main Race.

He totes a total of 139 points, 29 clear of Asuncion, and 31 of third placer Nicolo Fernandez.
