Mano Amon Run on

THE GREEN LIGHTS are on for the 29th edition of the Halad Kang Mano Amon Run as it kicks off early this morning at the Danao City Hall .

The annual race is being held in honor of one of Danao?s eminent personalities, Ramon Durano Sr. There are three distances, the 10 kilometer run, the 5 km and the 3 km runs.

The categories are Men, Women and All-Danao Open, All Danao 20-29 5 km, 30-39 years old, 40-49, 50+, Boys and Girls 3 km, High School boys and girls 5 km, College boys and girls 5 km, Cebu Executive and Danao Executive. Prizes are also at stake for the biggest delegation and best in uniform.

P3,000 is at stake for the winner of the open division while the runners-up will get P2,000 and P1,000, respectively. The fourth to 10th will each receive a consolation prize of P500. The top three finishers in the other divisions except for the executive class will get P500, P300, and P200, while the fourth to 10th will get P100 apiece. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
