Philippine Daily Inquirer

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines settled for 20th overall in the 3rd Asian Indoor Games with a one gold-four silver-five bronze medal haul as swimmer Miguel Molina missed a podium finish Saturday night in Hanoi.

Molina, who picked up a silver in the 200-meter individual medley, finished fourth in the 100 IM in 55.51 seconds, just 26 milliseconds off the 55.25 registered by bronze medalist Radomyos Matjiur of Thailand.

The Philippines emerged seventh among the participating Southeast Asian countries, with Laos, which will host the 25th SEA Games next month, even finishing ahead with three gold, eight silver and 14 bronze medals for 13th overall.

Vietnam emerged as the best Southeast Asian country with a 48-25-19 gold-silver-bronze romp, good for second overall. Jasmine Payo
