IT?S going to be a busy year for the Philippine Sports Commission.
The agency will formally unveil its programs on Jan. 12 before no less than President Macapagal-Arroyo during the blessing of renovated facilities inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
PSC chair Harry Angping said work has been completed at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, taekwondo headquarters, PSC administration building, gymnastics hall, and PSC cooperative offices.
?We will have a busy year and this will formally start our programs,? said Angping, whose birthday coincides with the event.
The PSC also plans to hold its first ever trade fair among dealers, suppliers of sport equipment and facilities right on the same day within the RMSC.
Angping also announced plans to meet with coaches and national sports association heads regarding the plan to put up the elite pool of athletes who will be fielded to the Guangzhou Asian Games on Nov. 12-21.
The PSC chief said they are expecting to complete the list of candidates by February and start sending them for training and competition by March.
