MANILA, Philippines - National players Jeric Carrabeo, Markwin Tee and Benshir Layoso have given their thumbs-up to the newly opened SM North Edsa Bowling Center in Quezon City.
The facility inside the country’s second biggest mall features state-of-the-art facilities, including 24 synthetic AMF-Puyat lanes.
“The lane conditions are conducive to high scores,” Layoso, who won the 2008 RP Open men’s masters title, said after a practice round with his fellow Nationals. “I use the bowling center regularly for practice.”
Architects from Australia are responsible for the comfortable and feel-at-home ambience of the center’s interiors.
Unlike some bowling centers that have the usual hard plastic seats and benches, the SM North Edsa Bowling Center offers padded sofas and lounges for players.
“We welcome the SM North Edsa Bowling Center into the family of sports and leisure facilities of the SM group,” engineer Ric Camaligan, SM vice president for sports and leisure, said Monday. “Through this center, we aim to do our share in sustaining our world-class excellence.”
