ANOTHER TWIN MARATHON STAGING unfolds when the 33rd National Milo Marathon heads to Tagbilaran City, Bohol and Baguio City tomorrow.
Over 4,000 runners are expected to compete in the Baguio race that boasts the toughest 21K route among the elimination legs nationwide.
Tagbilaran City, meanwhile, expects 5,000 racers to battle it out for the top prize in the 3K, 5K and 10K side events and the centerpiece 21K.
Provincial qualifiers will receive an all-expense paid round-trip ticket to the national finals on Oct. 11 in Manila.
The qualifying time for male runners is one hour and 15 minutes, while the female racers have a cut off time of one hour and 35 minutes.
Simultaneous races were also held in Tacloban City, Leyte and San Fernando, La Union last week.
National race organizer Rudy Biscocho said the 21K race will flag off at 5:30 a.m., while the side events will start in two-minute intervals starting at 6 a.m.
All participants must be at the starting area one hour prior to the race for the official check-in and pre-race briefing.
The event will feature an interschool cheerdance competition.Awards will also be given to schools with the biggest delegation and best team time.
